Project 860Waikiki IS A 501 (C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, INCORPORATED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII TO SERVE THE NEEDY RESIDENTS OF THE ISLAND OF OAHU.
Project 860 Waikiki is a Non-Profit corporation and shall operate exclusively for educational and charitable purposes, within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code. It is the mission, duty and purpose of The Project 860 Waikiki to lift up the economically challenged of Oahu, Hawaii (both unemployed and working poor) by many means including, but not limited to:
(1) Educational training such as budgeting, financial planning and credit repair.
(2) Mentoring and job training (with hopes of obtaining a food truck for this purpose).
(3) Food distribution including a delivery service for those that would benefit from this kind of service.
(4) Disaster relief.
(5) Other programs as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.
Mobile Food Unit
We understand that life is difficult and time is precious and that often times when we are in need it is difficult to reach out and ask for help. It can also be emotionally challenging to wait in a line where your friends or neighbors may see and judge you. This is why we do not ask you to do that. It is our privilege to personally deliver much needed supplies to your front door in an unmarked vehicle on your schedule.
Diamond Head Shave Ice
Project 860 Waikiki counts itself fortunate to have the founders of Diamond Head Shave Ice serving along side us. They created what has been called The Island’s most recognizable mobile food eatery. We are working on getting a dedicated version of this truck to be used exclusively with our Non-Profit.
